recent grad.

just resigned from my first post-grad job of 17 months to accept a position at my alma mater. will soon start a job in pr/external affairs.

i live solo, in a cute one-bedroom apartment in martinsburg, wv, in not the nicest area. it keeps me real though i suppose and makes me love shepherdstown even more.

i’m constantly rediscovering things about myself. there is always room for improvement and God is showing me my shortcomings.

i was adopted at birth. i have a great, loving, supportive family. my step-families are amazing and i’m so fortunate to have them.

i love decorating, taking photos, drinking coffee, visiting with friends. “talking shop.”  i’m a sucker for a used book sale and exploring cities.

for the past two summers, i’ve traveled solo (visiting friends on the west coast) and it’s something i look forward to every august (my birth-month).

previously, I was an education reporter turned photographer for a daily newspaper in the eastern panhandle. a sure sign of the times in the business of newspapers.

before that i interned at two dailies and a weekly (8 years total in newspapers) and was the editor of The Picket, the paper at Shepherd University. during my year as editor, we made headlines online at the Student Press Law Center

i have a bachelors of science in mass communications/minor in journalism.
